December 2, 1965: Traded by the California Angels to the Baltimore Orioles for Norm Siebern.

ANGELS DEBUT:
With 2 on and 2 out in the 6th, he pinch hit for pitcher Fred Newman and singled to left off Mudcat Grant scoring Leo Burke from second in an eventual 9-6 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Friday, September 21, 1962 (N) at Chavez Ravine.

ANGELS RECORD
1962-1965
In 85 at-bats in 35 games over 3 seasons (didn't play in 1963) he hit .176. Committed only 2 errors in 100 chances playing outfield.

INTERESTING FACTS:
- 6'4" tall, but he weighed only 176 pounds.
- Was only 19 when he made his Major League debut.
- Was the second youngest player in 1962, trailing only Ed Kirkpatrick.
- Was considered one of the fastest players of his day, but still only stole 10 career bases.
- Did not play Major League baseball in 1963.
- Hit a leadoff home run on the first pitch from Mickey Lolich in a June 9, 1969 game. This would end up being the only run Lolich gave up in the game, a game in which he struck out 16 batters. That was the final home run of his career.

Entered game in the 5th in relief of Ken McBride who had given up 4 runs, struck out Bill Bruton, walked Al Kaline and got Rocky Colavito to ground into a double play. The game was an eventual 4-2 loss to the Tigers on Sunday, September 16, 1962 (D) at Chavez Ravine.

ANGELS RECORD

33-39 with a 3.41 ERA and 14 complete games.

INTERSTING FACTS:
- First in the league with 83 assists as a pitcher in 1965.
- Threw a 2-hit complete game against Minnesota on June 10, 1965.
- Arm troubles ended his career early.
- He died in a car accident in 1987 at the age of 45.

Signed by the Los Angeles Angels as an amateur free agent before the 1962 season.
Later traded by the California Angels with Dennis Paepke to the Kansas City Royals for Hoyt Wilhelm on Decdember 12, 1968.

ANGELS DEBUT:
Entered game in the bottom of the 9th as a pinch hitter for Bob Botz and grounded out in a 5-4 loss to the Kansas City A's on Thursday, September 13, 1962 (D) at Chavez Ravine.

Hit .215 in seven seasons as a bench player.

INTERESTING FACTS:
-Was only 17 when he made his debut.
-His trade to the Athletics was the first ever for Kansas City.
-Played for 16 major league seasons.
-He ended Kansas City Athletics' Bert Campaneris's September 8, 1965 game when Campy played all nine positions, by colliding with him in a play at the plate and then beating him so badly in the ensuing melee that Campy was sent to the hospital.
-Smacked Reds Manager Sparky Anderson in a melee in 1974.
-Had the last hit ever at Kansas Citys Municipal Stadium on october 4, 1972.
-Spent his last year of professional baseball with the 1978 Pacific Coast League Salt Lake City Gulls.
-He was maimed in a 1981 auto accident that relegated him to a wheelchair for life.

Aquired by purchase by the Los Angeles Angels from the San Francisco Giants on September 2, 1962.
Later traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the Detroit Tigers for Willie Smith on April 28, 1964.

Entered the game in the bottom of the 5th as relief for starter Ted Bowsfield. First batter he faced, Tom Tresh, singled to center. Went 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits in an eventual 6-5 win against the Yankees on Monday, September 3, 1962 (D) at Yankee Stadium.

ANGELS RECORD:
1962-1964
Appeared in 71 games and went 5-6 with 13 saves and a 3.05 ERA as a reliever.

INTERESTING FACTS:
-Made his debut at Yankee Stadium in front of 56,964, largest crowd that year.
-Father of pitcher Jaime Navarro.
-Only man from the island of Vieques (east of Puerto Rico) to play in the majors.
-Played for Los Angeles, Detroit, and Atlanta.
-Career spanned 20 summers from 1955 to 1974, the last three in Mexico.
-Played during 22 winters in Puerto Rico, ending in the 1976-77 season.
-Tied for second in league history for longest career with Juan Beniquez, Juan Pizarro, and Hector Valle. Only Ruben Gomez (29) played more.
-Was a scout for the Chicago Cubs from 1980 to 1985 and a coach in the Atlanta Braves system in 1988.

July 21, 1962: Traded by the Kansas City Athletics to the Los Angeles Angels for a player to be named later and $35,000. The Los Angeles Angels sent Ted Bowsfield (November 26, 1962) to the Kansas City Athletics to complete the trade.
November 29, 1964: Sent by the California Angels to the Milwaukee Braves to complete an earlier deal made on October 14, 1964. The California Angels sent a player to be named later to the Milwaukee Braves for Ron Piche and Phil Roof.

ANGELS DEBUT:
Entered game at the start of the 7th and struck out the first batter he faced, Steve Barber. Ended up striking out 3 in 2 innings of relief in a 3-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles in the first game of a double-header on Tuesday, July 24, 1962 (N) at Chavez Ravine.

Went 17-15 with a 3.26 ERA. He had 5 complete games in 20 starts and 6 saves.

INTERESTING FACTS:
He was a hard-throwing right hander known for his threatening look toward hitters while leaning in for the sign. Picked up by the Kansas City A's, Osinski made his major league debut in 1962 at the age of 28. After a bid to trade him to the Los Angeles Angels for Bo Belinsky was vetoed by Commissioner Ford Frick, Osinski was ultimately traded to the expansion club for Gordie Windhorn and a player to be named later. He became a spot starter and reliever with LA.

As the starting pitcher first batter he faced was Dick Howser who grounded out in the top of the first. Lee went on to pitch a complete game in a 7-1 win against the Kansas City Athletics on Friday, June 8, 1962 (N) at Chavez Ravine.

ANGELS RECORD:
1962-1965
Went 21-24 with a 3.35 ERA with 248 strikeouts in 210.2 innings.

INTERESTING FACTS:
In 226 at-bats Lee had one career home run, on August 9, 1960 for the Washington Senators. Lee started and pitched 10 innings in the game but did not get a decision even though the Senators won the game in 11 innings.
Lee was the son of Thornton Lee and they are the only father-son pitchers to allow a home run to the same batter - Ted Williams.
