Toys R Us Store Replica On Listia

I saw this on Listia and knowing that I needed at least one of the Angels cards in it, I put out a bid and then got into a little bidding war.

After 15 bids I ended up winning the box set for 6300 credits, not bad considering the strange oddball 90's era single cards that I've seen go for close to that amount.
Plus, how much fun will it be tearing into this thing and seeing whats inside.

Let's rip this puppy open.

Set included 12 of those cool Master Photos and a box set of rookies inside a plastic encased replica of your local Toys R Us.
The plastic was pretty yellowed but a least it didn't reek of cigarette smoke.

Unfortunately there are no Angels in the Master Photo set.
Moises Alou Expos
Eric Anthony Astros
Carlos Baerga Indians
Willie Greene Reds
Ken Griffey, Jr. Mariners
Marquis Grissom Expos
Chuck Knoblauch Twins
Scott Livingstone Tigers
Sam Militello Yankees
Ivan Rodriguez Rangers
Gary Sheffield Padres
Frank Thomas White Sox

Notice there is no roof on your local Toys R Us, you can look straight down into the store and see your favorite toy aisle.
Diecast vehicles was always my favorite.
Followed closely by action figures just a row or two away.

Pop the yellowed facade off and you pull out a box of 100 Toys R Us 1993 Topps Stadium Club Young, Future and Rookie Stars.

A here, layers later, is why I bid on this auction.
The cards I needed to complete this little team set.

And the rest I do not want to keep.
(I'm undecided on the Master Photos).
Several teams have already been spoken for (Cardinals, Dodgers, Pirates, Braves) but most others are available for trade.  Let me know.

  1. I'll take the Alou, Baerga & Militello if nobody else wants them.

  2. That's pretty cool, I always wondered what these looked like opened. I assume this is the set you was talking about on my comment board. If so then I would be very interested in the Royals ones. I don't have any of them.

Looking back, I wish I would have had one of these as a kid, that would have been nice.

  3. I'd be interested in the 4 Blue Jays Alomar Timlin Guzman Bell--got some from your wantlist

  4. I can give any lonely White Sox a decent home.
