Entered game in the 5th in relief of Ken McBride who had given up 4 runs, struck out Bill Bruton, walked Al Kaline and got Rocky Colavito to ground into a double play. The game was an eventual 4-2 loss to the Tigers on Sunday, September 16, 1962 (D) at Chavez Ravine.
