Credited with first putout of the game (made 10 total) when visiting Dick Howser grounded out to him at first. Later in his first at bat in the top of the second he singled off of Ralph Terry and was stranded in a 7-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday, April 13, 1965 (N) at Chavez Ravine.
