John Wetteland spent 3 lackluster seasons with the Dodgers from 1989-1991 after they drafted him in the second round of the 1985 amateur draft. He blossomed after being traded to the Expos from the Reds in 1991, saving 105 games in 3 seasons. In 1995 he went to the Yankees and saved 74 games in 2 seasons, and helping them win the World Series in 1996 earning the MVP honors.
He then went to the Rangers and had more great years saving 150 games in 4 seasons with the team, twice being selected as an AL All Star.
