Thanks to the recent ripping of a box of 1993 Fleer Series 2, I was able to add a new card numbered 444 to my odd little collection.
I didn't rip the box for that purpose, but adding another card to a collection is a nice result.
Tim Crews of the Dodgers looks ready to throw a heater at my head.
And I'm good with that.
Because there it is in the lower right corner.
444.
It's a beautiful thing.
What odd collections are you working on?
I've always thought my "one card of everyone who's ever played for the Cubs" collecting habit was a little odd. Especially so since I do the same thing for my collections of each Chicago sports franchise. I have to ask, how did you get started on your "444" collection?
ReplyDeleteIt's not anything that I search out, but if I come across a card that is serial #007, I keep it. Yes, I am a big James Bond fan.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious on the "why" of your 444 collection. Also, do you do just baseball? I might have a few old hockey ones hanging around somewhere that I'd throw into a future package for you!
Okay. The 444 is just the result of two goofy teenagers looking at a digital alarm clock at the same time, so we made it our favorite number. Now, since the late 70's anytime we see 444, anywhere, we point it out.
ReplyDeleteAnd the collection is for baseball cards only.
