Picked up this sweet little Patriots team set, in 5 separate auctions, recently on Listia.
Although the purple foil background didn't scan well, the cards are very appealing.
The other four cards in the set are of the Packers, so I didn't go after those.
Not sure how this set was available, if through mail order, or a contest card, or otherwise.
According to Beckett, collectors could get Crash the Game cards from SCD publications. If the player on their card scored a touchdown or completed a touchdown pass, the collector could send in their card with $2 (shipping) for a complete "prize" set. You have the Patriots part of the "prize" set.
