Mad, scared, annoyed?
I went through my binders of Angels cards for the Troy Glaus years looking for similar reactions of his, and although he doesn't smile much (I think he usually has a wad of chaw in his mouth) and appears stoic on most cards, on this one he was peeved at something for sure.
Or bug-eyed.
It's amazing how creepy a photograph taken at just the right moment can make someone look.
