Cardboard Collections Free Twitter Group Break

Took part in this spur of the moment, FREE (just $4 to cover shipping cost), Twitter group break by Cardboard Collections last month. Colbey was ripping and sharing two boxes of 2016 Donruss Optic just because he felt like it. How awesome is that! I picked the Angels of course and got some goodies.

I Didn't Ask, and Yet, I Received

Last month I posted how I found a couple old Sports Illustrated at my local HPB, and one was an Angels cover I needed (Reggie Jackson). Jim (Mr. Haverkamp) almost immediately left a comment that he had the Carew issue I needed and would drop it in the mail. Wow! Shortly thereafter I received a package with the Carew cover inside.

Sweet!

And I didn't even have to ask!

That leaves me just needing these Angels covers:

March 2014 Mike Trout "Powered Up"

March 2017 Mike Trout "MLB Preview"

March 2018 Mike Trout/Shohei Ohtani "MVP"

Jim also included these 1982 Fleer Stickers that were on my wantlist.

This just leaves me with 21 stickers to complete the album (I have tons of dupes if anyone is looking for any).

Indians For Other Stuff I Like

Reader, and Indians collector, Tim, sent a bunch of cards in return for a bag of Indians cards I sent him. More often than not, whenever I pull a new Indians card, I can expect Tim to put a claim to it, so I'll set those aside until I get a small stack, and then we'll do a trade. That's usually how it works for all of us right? Tim's return managed to hit several of my narrower collections this time, and I'm really pleased with that.

Recently received a package of cards from Dennis of Too Many Verlanders.

How awesome that he took the time to check my wantlists and go out of his way to get the cards I needed, especially to complete a few sets. I try to do that too from time to time, and it is very rewarding to dig and fill a specific need, but I'll admit that it takes a lot of effort to do so. I usually lean towards sending random team stuff. It's quicker and easier.
