Silver Surfer!

Because why not.

Besides Batman, he is the absolute coolest.

And I grew up in Southern California, used to ride my bike to the beach.

(I know he's a cosmic surfer, but still a surfer, even though I was more of a boogie-board/bodysurfer.

I recently came into a box of comic cards so now I have a lot to trade.

TCDB says there are a mere 366 Silver Surfer cards.

I have 3.

Haven't Had Cracker Jack In Years

And it's probably a good thing. I'm sure it would tear some fillings loose these days. No more eating Cracker Jack to pull a card, that's another good thing about TCDB. Find some cards you need, request a trade. Easy as that. These came from poorlittlecritter.

I'm needing just the Tris Speaker card to complete this mini set.

Nice thumb-to-the-eye, Patriot. When he went to pull the cards, he saw that the Mildren was pretty mangled, so he threw in the '72 OPC below.

One of my daughter's scored me a blaster of Update for Christmas. Let's see what we get.

But four inserts in the pack so that's not bad, and the Bethancourt is an Advanced Stats.

Junk Mall Junk Wax Wednesday 4, 5

 Ripping a random pack of junk wax from the local junk mall.

I found a Ziploc with 8 packs of 1991 Score Football but with a label that said "Mispackaged". That piqued my interest, so I bought it for $5. All the packs are sealed (or resealed probably after searching for the Brett Favre rookie), but some seem to only have a few cards in them. Let's see what we get over the next several weeks.

Keith Byars, Tebowing, before it was frowned on, but which is now acceptable again.

Only 15/16 cards in this pack.

The cards definitely have a "handled" feeling to them. I'm fairly confident now that these packs have all been searched and resealed. If they are, the perpetrator did a good job at the resealing.

PACK 5 of 8

The Aikman is a nice card.

I'm scanning these cards in pack order. Notice how they've been coming out in color blocks. I'm not so sure an un-tampered pack is collated this way.

Again, 15/16 cards in this pack.

You Too Can Be A Superhero In Just 60 Minutes

Or if you're Hourman, you only get to BE a superhero for 60 minutes before the secret sauce wears out. Still building my DC Cosmic set with the help of SaveDaKid, who sent some other needs as well.

Weather Report: Heavy Fleury's

No snow in the forcast here in Texas, mid-sixties and light rain, but a big trade with Eriqulous brought in a bunch of Theoren Fleury cards for the collection (12 to be exact) as well as a bunch of OPC cards and other stuff from Cananda.

Shhhh, It's a Secret

Got these from my TCDB Secret Santa.

What an awesome card (It's not blurry trust me, the scan picked up the heavy plastic case instead).

And a few Angels from the wantlist.

Adams made it to the big team last season; I hope to see more of him next year.

First time doing a Secret Santa on TCDB, and I'm very pleased.
