Minnie Minoso passed away on March 1st at the age of 89.
He played his first game in 1949, his last game in 1980 (his "real" last game was in 1964).
He had a .298 career batting average. Pretty good.
In fact, five times he batted over .300, three times was the AL leader in triples and stolen bases, and led the American League in hits, in 1960.
In 102 at bats against Angels pitching however, Minoso didn't fare too well hitting only .176 with 1 stolen base.
Curious to wonder why he didn't do well against the Halos.
