Traded by the San Francisco Giants to the Los Angeles Angels for Jacke Davis on March 29, 1963.

ANGELS DEBUT:
Started the game as the first baseman and recorded the first putout of the game when Wayne Causey grounded out to the pitcher Dan Osinski. Batting third he doubled to left off of Orlando Pena in his first at bat, scoring Billy Moran, and ended the day 1-4 with 9 put-outs in a 6-4 win against the Kansas City Athletics on Sunday, May 26, 1963 (D) at Chavez Ravine.

ANGELS RECORD:
1963-1965
Hit .265 in 260 at-bats, and as a first baseman committed 9 errors in 637 chances for a .986 fielding average.

INTERSTING FACTS:
- Originally signed by the San Francisco Giants as an amateur free agent before the 1958 season.
- Hit .348 with 23 HR and 115 RBI for the Giants AA team in El Paso in 1962.
- Was 4th in AL in being hit by a pitch 8 times in 1963.
- Continued in the minor leagues through 1966.
