June 11, 1964: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Minnesota Twins with Vic Power to the Los Angeles Angels. The Los Angeles Angels sent Frank Kostro to the Minnesota Twins. The Los Angeles Angels sent Billy Moran to the Cleveland Indians. The Cleveland Indians sent Jerry Kindall to the Minnesota Twins.
September 5, 1964: Purchased by the Baltimore Orioles from the Los Angeles Angels.

Batting leadoff in the top of the first he flied out to centerfielder Bill Bruton off of pitcher Dave Wickersham, ending the day 0 for 3 with a walk, a run scored, and 4 put-outs in center field in an 8-5 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Saturday, June 13, 1964 (D) at Tiger Stadium.

- Homered four times on Opening Day, including three years in a row from 1961 to 1963.
