It's Good To Be Completed With Enthusiasm Unknown to Mankind

Recently received a package of cards from Dennis of Too Many Verlanders
Inside was this nice note:
Wow!
How awesome that he took the time to check my wantlists and go out of his way to get the cards I needed, especially to complete a few sets. I try to do that too from time to time, and it is very rewarding to dig and fill a specific need, but I'll admit that it takes a lot of effort to do so. I usually lean towards sending random team stuff. It's quicker and easier.
That's four sets completed right there:
1991 Upper Deck Football
2007 Fleer Rookie Sensations
1988 Fleer Angels Team (still need the entire box bottom panel with Wally Joyner, but calling this complete)
1990 Classic 1 Blue Angels Team

Also included were a ton of Angels inserts, parallels, numbered cards:
1996 Ultra On-Base Leader #8 Gold Medallion

1996 Leaf Studio #24 Gold Press Proof

2000 Pacific #14 Copper 57/99

1997 Pinnacle #199 Museum Collection

1999 Prism #3 Holographic Gold 468/480

1998 Topps MLB Stars #41 Red 1830/9799

1998 Studio Hit Parade #19 4166/5000

2005 Zenith Mozaics #M-11

2000 SP Future Watch #126 2043/2500

1997 Donruss Studio #7, #82 Press Proof

And rounded out with some Wally Joyner.

Again, wow, Dennis.
Thanks for taking the time to get these for me.

  1. Lots of good stuff in here, I still love those Game Breakers holograms, and you can never go wrong with Pacific parallels!

  2. I love seeing sets get finished! Glad you liked the other stuff--my favorite was the Mozaics because of my nostalgia for the '96 version. Great choices on the sets you were chasing--this holograms are nice!

  3. Dennis doesn't mess around. He's one of the most generous bloggers around. Like Jon, I really love those Game Breakers holograms. Brings back some great memories.

  4. I loved watching Troy Percival pitch and I had completely forgotten about him and his max effort delivery until this post. Good stuff.
