Missing Mini Mistake

I've forgotten to include a card here and there in trade transactions. It happens. And whether it was me or the other trader, we've always made it right. Sometimes it even evolves into an additional trade. Such was the case here, where the mini shown below was accidently left out of the PWR from the prior trade. In order to get me the mini, and maximize the cost of postage, we came up with another trade. Win Win.

TCDB #142 cdorso

After claiming some free stuff I had offered up, they wanted to return the favor with some cards I needed. Offer accepted! And thank you!
2008 Sports Equation Math Learning Cards #14

The two 1992 Upper Deck for my PCs are the Factory Set Gold Hologram version.
Also, I would have sworn I already had the Tom Heinke for the 1989 set build because I had posted about it 12 years ago.

Love the Slugging Catcher

I do like the slugging catcher, especially Angels slugging catchers. They've had a few in Brian Downing, Bob Boone, Lance Parrish. My most recent favorite was Mike Napoli, but I think I may have a new favorite in Logan O'Hoppe, we'll see how this plays out.

TCDB #133 expander

Traded a bunch of Animated Batman for these.

TCDB #134 Mjprigge

1989 Topps/LJN Talking Baseball.
I'll have to find a transcript of what Wally has to say.

1988 Little Sun Legends of Minor League Baseball.
All former Angels.

Big Cards and the Pages That Love Them

What do Hawaii, Kansas, and Indiana have in common? Trade mail! I think this is the first time I've ever traded with anyone in Hawaii. Unless I'm forgetting a blogger from Hawaii. It's great that the postage is the same even though it has to be flown such a long distance over water.

TCDB #104 Mokolai

1985 Donruss Action All-Stars
Love these 3.5 x 5 cards, but it seems like I never have the pages to store odd-sized cards, so they'll go in a sheet protector for now.
Night Owl discussed this dilemma recently.

It's funny that whenever I see Art Howe, I think of him as a manager. My first thought here was, "Why is the manager on Nolan Ryan's card?"

I think that I would prefer to be the team on the front of the card rather than the back. If the Angels happen to be on the back of the checklist, I display the back side forward with the team set, and that bothers me a bit.
But it would bother me more to have a checklist there and not see that the Angels are on it.

Did Tim Burcham miss team photo day? Seems he's at a different stadium.

Finally, under 100 cards for the 1989 Upper Deck set.

Scott Servais gazing up at the #444 thinking "Uh-oh".

So, I glanced at that 1990 Fleer checklist and thought, "Is that a key, why did I get a basketball checklist?" Is that white shape related to football somehow? Is it a cathedral window? Any ideas?

The 1992 Leaf is a "no period" variation.

TCDB Transaction #69 yrrcwc, #70 Yardbird38 and #71 Nathan-John-Mercer

 TCDB #69 yrrcwc

Second time trading with Clay.

More of those great 1985 Winning Pitch game cards.
The 1989 Donruss Tanana is a "missing period" variation, something I'm only collecting for my PCs.

TCDB #70 Yardbird38
And even more game cards. The other cards were needs but secondary to the game cards.

TCDB #71 Nathan-John-Mercer
Went back North to pick up a bulk of the 1992 Impel Cosmic cards I need.
Sixty-three cards here leaving me a little more than half of the 180-card set to go.

Playing Catchup With TCDB Trades #63 Thru #68

 TCDB #63 ckevink

Love these!
Those '86 Winning Pitch Game cards is a series I had overlooked until recently. There are 18 different cards to get, these two got me going. The Company Store cards have several variations, white card stock being one of them.

I didn't realize it until scanning these that I had picked out two Angels stickers that fit together for a Roger Clemens puzzle!

TCDB #64 jj00148
Easy trade knocking out some 2005 Topps.
2005 was one of those years that Angels cards are listed as either "Los Angeles" or "Anaheim" making it a bear to sort things out on TCDB.

TCDB #65 francoisangers
1992 Impel DC Cosmic
My son had opened a few packs of these when he was a kid, so I figured I would start working on completing the set for him. These come from Canada.

Where best to get Theo Fleury cards than from Canada?
Several of those are the Canadian version, The Upper Deck is a hologram variation, and the Topps Team Scoring Leaders card has his name misspelled "Fluery" on the back.

Got all these for a bunch of Topps Animated Batman cards.

TCDB #66 yrrcwc

Angels and player PC needs traded for a bunch of 2002-2004 Upper Deck.

TCDB #67 capewood
Found old blogger Capewood's Collections on TCDB (or I saw that another blogger had recently traded with him, can't remember) so I reached out for a trade. I had a bunch of '95 E-Motion and Upper Deck cards to trade for the 2007 Turkey Red set I'm working. That Mantle card is fantastic.

TCDB #68 JEGoethe

Second trade with JEGoethe and got some more great stuff including Topps Gold, Topps Cyberstats, Topps Holiday, PC cards, and the last 1994 Score Stadium Checklist card I needed.
