I looked up that Willie Mays game (September 11, 1964) where Bennett also pitched a complete game 1-0 shutout against Marachal who went 21-8 that season.
Correspondence received October 27, 2005.
Dennis passed away on March 24, 2012 at the age of 72.
I'm guessing that a lot of other pitchers from that era would've loved to have added that particular shutout to their resume.
