Bible Card Sunday - Mike Fitzgerald

I'm running out of displaying this style of Bible card - colored border with name at the bottom - which is my favorite. If you have any to trade please contact me.

Mike Fitzgerald played only one season with the Angels 1992. But he played 9 seasons before that with the Mets and Expos as a catcher and outfielder. He was originally drafted by the New York Mets in the 6th round of the 1978 amateur draft and made his major League debut for them on September 13, 1983. He was part of a huge 1984 trade along with Hubie Brooks, Herm Winningham and Floyd Youmans that sent them to the Expos and netted Gary Carter for the Mets. Fitzgerald was also the 52nd player in major league history to hit a home run in his first major league at-bat.
How about that.

Mike Fitzgeralds favorite Bible verse is Romans 10:9 (which is my favorite as well):
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved."
Like most of these Bible cards I got this one in a trade on SCN.
