Bible Card Sunday - Mike Kingery

Mike Kingery had a 10 year career as an outfielder for 6 different teams. He was originally signed by the Royals as an amateur free agent in 1979 but didn't make his debut with them until July 7, 1986. In that debut game he batted third and went 2/4. He batted .349 for Colorado in 1994, third-best in the NL, and in 1995 made his first and only postseason appearance when the Rockies were eliminated in the NLDS by the Braves.

Mike signed my card with John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever should believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

And Mike's favorite verse is 1 Peter 1:15-16:
"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written, "Be holy, because I am holy."
