Patriots coaching great Chuck Fairbanks passed away yesterday at the age of 79.
Fairbanks was the Pats coach from 1973-1978 and led them to a 46-40 record in those years, his only NFL coaching gig.
The Patriots won the division in 1976 going 11-3-0 and again in 1978 going 11-5-0.
