I hit up my local junk mall over the Thanksgiving weekend and found another $5 baggie of cards this time with a '75 Topps showing, and I could see other '75 Topps inside as well. I figured five bucks for some '75s why not?
It becomes a junk wax topic because you can also see a lot of 1987 and a few 1988 Topps cards inside and through the back. Let's see what we get.
Most the cards are in decent shape.
Thirty-four 1975 Topps including a few of the cooler MVP cards: Mantle, Mays, Jackson and Robinson.
Eighteen 1977 Topps, nothing special in there. The Herndon rookie cup is nice with his pose next to the cage and the stadium in the background. Same with the Manning.
The bulk of the cards were, like I said, made up of forty-eight 1987 Topps. I picked out a couple of the better photos to show.
And here are the stragglers for a total of 106 random cards for $5.
I'll keep the '75's because I've been quietly accumulating 1975 Topps, but the rest will become TCDB traders.
What do you think, was it worth the $5?
The MVP cards, especially those with Mantle on them, don't seem to come cheap anymore, so you did well just on those.
ReplyDeleteWorth it just for the '75 cards! I'd rather spend $5 on that than any new product.
ReplyDeleteThe 75s worth it as well the 77s afterall look at Rick Manning he's so excited that he's wearing the infamous Red Tomato uniforms that Cleveland wore see Boog Powell about his take on what he thought of them.
ReplyDeleteI would say yes it was worth it. It's always fun to go through a grouping of cards to see what you got.
ReplyDeleteWorth it for the '75s alone.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you hid Cesar Geronimo, with his four Gold Gloves. If that's him, he wins it.
Heck of a deal. The 1975 cards were worth the five bucks by themselves.
ReplyDeleteyep, the 75's cinched it all by themselves.
ReplyDeleteOh heck yes and I have all these cards.
