    Rarely do I go there but have seen the card displays. Are these packs always filled strictly with base cards?

      Yes, strictly base cards. And like Bulldog below, I buy some everytime I go in.

    I'm a sucker for these $1 packs when I go in and I'm disappointed 9 times of out of 10. Doesn't mean I'll stop though. Glad you grabbed an Angel.
