New Batman Promos and Inserts

Picked up a few more cards for my Animated Batman collection: two more prototype cards and one insert card.

1993 Topps Batman: The Animated Series, Series I
NNO Fiery Background

NNO Batman Fighting Man-Bat

The back of both cards is the same:
I now have the three regular-size prototype cards from Series I and II.

I also picked up this thermal card:
1996 Skybox Adventures of Batman & Robin T1

The "thermality" of the card is pretty worn off so it's easy to see that the villians hiding in the darkness are non other than Catwoman and Riddler.
Duh.

Completed Angels Team Set - 1965 Topps Embossed

Tough to find these in really nice condition.
And without the name on the card you wouldn't know who it was.
Three Angels in the 72-card set.

Wait, What's This?

A friend of mine gave me a little stack of 80's and 90's baseball cards, typical junk wax except for this one card that was sandwiched in the middle.

1992 BBM Masayuki Dobashi #425

Looks like some sort of insert in a 1992 issue of Baseball Magazine?
Whether it was a single or part of a sheet I don't know.
On ebay I saw what I think was a Series 2 box of the same type cards.
Maybe Zippy can shed some light on this.

More Miscuts To Be Had

Found these two gems during a recent dig at the LCS.

Al Downing 1972 Topps #460

Ron Yankowski 1973 Topps #241

I let out an audible woo-hoo! when I found each one of these.

I wonder where the rest of the cards from these sheets ended up?

11-2 Patriots Gameday Autographs

Week 15 Patriots Mail Returns

Steve Zabel (Patriots LB 1975-1978)
He was the first pick (six overall) by the Eagles in the 1970 NFL Draft.
After football Steve co-founded City Care, which over the past 20 years has helped thousands of low-income families [in Oklahoma City] find housing, provided them with food and other resources and helped tutor young children through it’s “Whiz Kids” program.
Right-on Mr. Zabel.
Steve signed these in 41 days from his home in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Bob Windsor (Patriots TE 1972-1975)
I asked what impact football has had on his health, and he answered, "I'm 72 years old and alot of my body parts are not good - my brain??"
I feel bad for the old timers that are suffering with the toll football took on their bodies.
Bob signed these cards in 12 days from his home in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Help Getting A Wantlist Together

Anyone help with the easiest way to create team wantlists?  I need to make my wantlists for Patriots Football cards from 1989-1994. Is there a site I can go to and filter only on Patriots cards between those years?

Any help appreciated.

Baseball TTMs In The Middle Of Football

Leroy Stanton (Angels 1972-1976)
Returned these cards in 18 days from his home in Florence, South Carolina.
Buzz Capra, you're up next for that 1972 Topps.

Nick Tropeano (Angels since 2014)
Do players sign multi-player cards this way to discourage us from getting them fully signed?
Or maybe he just doesn't like Mike Foltynewicz very much.
Nick signed these in 252 days from the Salt Lake Bees.

Some nice Angels parallels.

2012 Topps Xfractors

1995 Topps #633
Todd Greene Rookie!
Oh yeah, and Troy Percival too.

1994 Stadium Club

Trio of Trout.

2011 Topps Marquee Gametime Momentos Quad Relic 090/125

Wow, some parallels extraordinaire.
And the quad jersey: I don't get these types of cards any other way.
Thanks!

10-2 Patriots Gameday Autographs

Week 14 Mail Returns

1976 Topps #78, 1977 Topps #499, 1978 Topps #136
John Smith was the Patriots kicker from 1974-1983 after spending 1972 with the
New England Colonials (ACFL).
Smith is famous for scoring the only points in the famous Snowplow Game.
He's the number 3 leading scorer in Patriots history.
Mr. Smith signed these cards from his Dover, MA home in 37 days.

1981 Topps #208, 1982 Topps #147
Vagas Ferguson and I share the same March 6 birthday, except he was born 7 years earlier.
He was drafted by the Patriots in the 1st round of the 1980 NFL Draft after playing college ball at Notre Dame.
He signed these items for me in 9 days from his home in Richmond, Indiana.

Cool Cards From P-Town Tom

Trade post from P-Town Tom.

Here's the meat of the cards.

1971 Dell MLB Stamps NNO
Very cool little oddball of the Angels only Batting Champion.
No better logo than the California shape with the halo.

1990 Topps Magazine TM19
I had a subscription to Topps Magazine, I think the first year it was published.
Somewhere I have a card sheet or two left.
Super-cool card.

2008 Topps Opening Day Puzzle #4
Another piece of the Vladdy puzzle.

2001 Topps Team Sticker
I love team logo stickers, but this one is of my least favorite Angels logo designs.

1989 Fleer League Leaders #9
Yet again, another sweet Fleer box set card.

2016 Allen & Ginter #252 Mini A&G Back
Ooh, nice card.

Thanks for all the others too P-Town.

Cards From A Cracked Bat

Here's a nice sampling of the cards sent from Julie at A Cracked Bat.

Wow.  Nice selection of 2015 Topps.
Rainbows, Pink 47/50, Golds /2015, and Chrome.
Sorely lacking 2015 Angels of any sort.
I had to actually look up what the parallels were in this set.

1976 Topps #304 Topps Original
Very cool. Only my second Topps Original ever.

2007 Allen & Ginter's Mini Black Border

I think possibly my first ever 1994 O-Pee-Chee.
Pretty sure I don't have any other Angels from this set.

2015 Topps Chrome Commencements COM-7

1992 Classic Best #209
Another nice Garret Anderson card.
I suppose at some point I'll make an organized effort to pick up his non-Angels cards...there aren't many.

1993 Collectors Choice #21 Silver Signature

2003 Fleer Avant #53
Yet again, a sweet Garret Anderson card.

All good stuff, as well as those I didn't show, Julie, thanks.

Christmas Dawg Day Cards

Angus of Dawg Day Cards broadcast an all comers send-me-your-mailing-address-and-favorite-team-and-I'll-send-you-some-stuff-in-a-Christmas-card announcement.  I was in for Angels and/or Patriots of course.  I got my Christmas card today!

I love getting mail.

Okay, this is cool and the first in my collection.
I guess it's a 1986 McDonalds All Star Team rub-off game card.
Never seen these before, but really awesome.

I'm part French-Canadian so I recognized these next batches of cards right away.
(Not that I've ever lived in Canada or anywhere even near it!)

1978 O-Pee-Chee
And of three of my favorite Angels.
Ron Fairly was cool too, but no comparison to Tanana, Grich, and Rudi.

1981 and 1982 O-Pee-Chee
Pretty sure I didn't have any of these either.
My O-Pee-Chee Angels Team Sets are lacking.

1991 O-Pee-Chee
More goodness.

And here's my Christmas card,
in both English and French.

Joyeuses Fetes Angus!
