Junk Mall Junk Wax Wednesday

Ripping a random pack of junk wax from the local junk mall.

Pack of 15 which includes a Black Gold, and a chance to pull a Gold Rookie insert.

Nice Nolan Ryan checklist.

Yeah, I don't think Henderson makes that catch.

This pack was about split between the period/no period variations, if you're into that.

Beautiful action shot on the Gold parallel.

Interesting that the Black Golds didn't have the period/no period variations.

Don't Get Duped

These cards are exactly the same on the front: same color, same finish, same foil, everything.

But flip them over and look close:

Even though the backs are almost identical, one is a Preview, and the other is the numbered, once again stressing the importance of flipping those cards over when thumbing through boxes. In this case however, the Preview card was found in my dupes box!

Junk Mall Junk Wax Wednesday

Ripping a random pack of junk wax from the local junk mall.
Hockey cards since the season is STILL going on.

Pack of 15 with a chance to pull an Award Winners, Gold Team Leaders, Parkhurst Previews, or Rookie Gold Leaders card. I think there's also a chance to pull a Kirk McLean autograph card.

Forgot that this set had "Traded to..." cards.

Moog looks like he just got tipped over.

Anyone following the playoffs?
I've been keeping tabs on the Stars, my local team.

Junk Mall Junk Wax Wednesday

No junk wax today, but instead a pack of 2024 Topps Heritage.

I know my eyesight isn't with it used to be, but I absolutely cannot read these backs.
Thanks for stealing my joy, Topps.

I really like the color combination for the Angels in this set.
