Printing Errors Everywhere
Getting caught up with the printing errors I've been picking up here and there, mostly from going through 5000 count boxes at the LCS in the last year or so.
2013 Topps Walmart Blue #187 Nick Maronde
Missing silver foil name.
2008 Topps #644 Reggie Willits
Missing silver foil name.
You gotta wonder, why only the name and not the Topps logo?
1997 Donruss Fan Club #158 Chipper Jones
Silver foil is offset.
1987 Topps #518 Gene Mauch
Miscut.
1987 Topps #92 Urbano Lugo
Miscut.
1994 Topps Gold #721 Eduardo Perez
Miscut.
1993 Topps #145 Gary DiSarcina
Deep knurl markings across the bottom.
1987 Donruss Diamond Kings
Davis and Walker are missing the orange in the Donruss Diamond Kings banner at the top.
Keep an eye out for those misprints.
They're everywhere.

Highly Subjective #supertraders Installment
Right on the heels of Jaybarkerfans package came one from Highly Subjective and Completely Arbitrary.
Vladimir Guerrero 2006 Flair Showcase #18
Garret Anderson 2002 Topps Own The Game #OG21
Vladdy will be on next years HOF ballot, and I think he has the numbers to be elected in his first year. Question is will he enter as an Expo or an Angel.
2016 Topps MLB Debut MLBD-35
Contrary to most bloggers I actually like this years Topps design. Hated last years and showed it by buying the grand total of 1 pack of cards.
This years inserts however, are another story.
They're horrible.
Panini horrible.
1964 Topps Baseball Checklists
Vintage 1964, my year of birth.
Kinda cool to think that some kid was ripping these packs of cards on my birthday.
Look at some of the names there: Yogi Berra, Dean Chance, Don Drysdale...
Sweet.
And the rest of the Angels now finding a good home.
Welcome.
Thanks Brian.

Jaybarkerfan #supertraders Installment
Got my first Super Traders package the other day from Wes.
I had seen that I was one of like 35 zip codes he was sending to.
Insane.
There were all kinds of goodies in the package.
Here's the highlights.
Signed Super Traders Calling Card.
2013 Topps Museum Collection #72, Teal 29/50 and base
I dont get in on many breaks, but so I was very happy to get in on this one and happy to get a hit.
Sweet card.
2007 Upper Deck MLB Artifacts DA-GA
And another hit!
I love Garret Anderson.
1987 Fleer Star Stickers #127
Oh yeah, a gem of a miscut, ink-smudged, junk wax card.
It's a beauty.
What is it about cards like this that makes them so cool.
A sampling of random Angels.
A sampling of horizontal cards.
These scan better separately from the vert cards.
Makes for a nice even box.
I really like the 2003 Upper Deck Twenty-Five Salute Troy Glaus.
Checklists!
The 1986 is from Topps Traded.
I would think that this would be a harder one to come by.
And a glorious 1984 Topps sweepstakes card.
I had opened 2 wax boxes of 1984 Topps back in the day, to work on the complete set.
And promptly threw out all the sweepstakes cards.
Lame.
Took a long time to get these all back.
Good stuff Super Trader Wes, thank you.

2008 Upper Deck Documentary
Misc Angels cards
Love the old ProCards.
Autograph Set needs
The 1992 Stadium Club is not so much an autograph set I'm working on, I just like the design.
The 1984 Topps and 1991 Upper Deck are autographed sets I'm working.
Glad to have all these.
Good trading with you LV.

Trade Cards From LV's TTM Autographs and Baseball Cards Part One
Part One - Testimony Cards
Quite frequently I've used LV's TTM successes to send out my own TTMs, so to show my appreciation for her doing the ground work, I offered her first shot at my new Autograph Traders tab: autographed cards I have for trade. We worked out a deal, and one of the cards I was really was stoked about receiving was this one:
I have a side collection of these color-bordered testimony cards.
There's no way of knowing what players use these, so when I come across one I don't have it's really exciting. There are lots of other testimony cards used, like you'll see below, but this is the design I like the best.
Here are the others that I have in my collection:
So now I know there are at least 12 different players that used them.
If anyone knows of any others, or have any for trade, please let me know.
These are the other testimony cards that were included in the trade with LV.
I think I have about ten of those Tanana cards now, and that's my third different Olerud, but I dont mind.
Part Two - Angels and Autographs next.

My (Meager) First Contribution To The Super Traders
Picked up this 2013 Bowman Value Pack at Toy's R Us the other day with the idea of ripping it for Super Traders. Nothing fancy I know, but given my current circumstances this is the best I can do right now. Hopefully in the coming year I can rip a real box.
Anyhow, Super Traders is all for fun and in no way a competition right? Right.
So on the heals of Play at the Plates Super Traders Box Break let's dig in.
(I'm technologically challenged, so no video just scans)
Base Cards
Bowman Prospects
Bowman Chrome Prospects
Prospect Challenge Card
Probably not worth randomizing but if more than one of the 4 teams pictured actually want this maybe we will.
Bowman Gold
Bowman Purple Prospects
Now the real hits:
Mikeson Oliberto Bowman Blue 431/500
Dane Phillips Bowman Prospects Autographs BPA-DP
Not bad pulling a certified autograph from the last $4.99 discount pack at my local TRU.
This one goes to The Underdog Card Collector, Zach Malone.
I'll put these aside in my "Super Traders" sort box until I get a team bug full to mail.
And I thinks it's important to reiterate (like Wes and Brian have already done) that I will still be trading with others who aren't on the Super Traders list.
Well that was fun.

Contest at Play at the Plate
There's a contest to guess the first card pulled from the first pack of 2016 Topps over a Play at the Plate. Nice winnings too, so go submit your guesses.
