Christmas Dawg Day Cards

Angus of Dawg Day Cards broadcast an all comers send-me-your-mailing-address-and-favorite-team-and-I'll-send-you-some-stuff-in-a-Christmas-card announcement.  I was in for Angels and/or Patriots of course.  I got my Christmas card today!

I love getting mail.

Okay, this is cool and the first in my collection.
I guess it's a 1986 McDonalds All Star Team rub-off game card.
Never seen these before, but really awesome.

I'm part French-Canadian so I recognized these next batches of cards right away.
(Not that I've ever lived in Canada or anywhere even near it!)

1978 O-Pee-Chee
And of three of my favorite Angels.
Ron Fairly was cool too, but no comparison to Tanana, Grich, and Rudi.

1981 and 1982 O-Pee-Chee
Pretty sure I didn't have any of these either.
My O-Pee-Chee Angels Team Sets are lacking.

1991 O-Pee-Chee
More goodness.

And here's my Christmas card,
in both English and French.

Joyeuses Fetes Angus!

  2. Glad you enjoyed the cards!

The 86 McDonalds cards are tough to collect. They had four different color tabs, and it seems like a given team's cards were only available in their home city (or area). For areas that didn't have teams there was an all-star set with four different color tabs available. (Hannah is in the all-star set.)

I've got full 24 card Browns sets for two color tabs, but only have 6/24 for each of the other two colors. The Browns have two players in the all-star set and I've got 3/8 all-star cards. I should really work at completing those.

And I wish the cards actually used Christmas (Joyeux Noel!) but since they were extras from a friend's office I couldn't be picky.
