My 15-year Blogoversary came and went in October, and I completely forgot about it. It was about a year or so ago that I did the calculation for the upcoming milestone, even wrote it down in a few places so I wouldn't forget. But wouldn't you know it, I forgot.
Eddie Yost, Angel #1
I started this blog on October 1, 2009 with the initial intent of going through "The Angels" all-time roster "In Order" of the players first appearance, using my Angels collection as visual candy. It wasn't too long after that that I deviated and just started showing off whatever came my way but still mostly focusing on the Angels. It went pretty strong the first ten years.
My fire went out for a little while after my son passed away in 2019, and I almost pulled the plug completely, but I came back, and since then it's been fun again and therapeutic. I think that trading on TCDB has given me, and the blog, a little new life as well.
I just want to say thank you to all my followers and readers, thank you to all those that have traded with me or sent unexpected gifts over the years, and for all the encouraging comments, you're an inspiration. So again, thanks, it all means a lot to me.
Here's to another fifteen.

It's been great reading your blog, and I look forward to continuing to do so!
ReplyDeleteI also have lots of contest-type cards held out for you when you're ready to trade again!
Wow, happy 15, Tom! I'm among the many who are glad you're still around, and I love seeing how active you've been with trading on TCDb. Here's to 15 more indeed!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 15 years! So how far through the Angels roster did you get through before it veered off?
ReplyDeleteThe last "Debut" post I did was on Angel #103 Merritt Ranew, and that post was in Aug 2011.
DeleteCongratulations on your 15 years. I missed quite a few years. Go for 15 more!
ReplyDeleteCongrats.
