Some Kinda TTM Record

Kevin Romine returned these cards signed after 3,916 days, sent to his home in Fountain Valley, CA on August 1, 2007. I believe that is my longest wait for a return.

Romine never played for the Angels, however, we did go to the same high school in Fountain Valley. Pretty sure he played H.S. baseball with one of my older brothers.

  1. Interestingly enough his son Andrew Romine would go on to play for the Angels.

    1. Thanks for the address, I'll give it a shot. But because it's someone else's private info I'm gonna delete that comment from my blogpost, just wanted to let you know that it wasn't because of anything personal.

  2. Wow! 11 years! I would have given up hope a long time ago.

  3. I wonder what happened in his life that triggered him to go grab all his old mail and start signing stuff? He was sporting a sweet mustache in 1990.

  4. I have had a few 10+ years. I think my record is 14 years. It always makes me wonder.

  5. 11 years?! I've moved 5 times in the last 11 years, so I'd have no shot at something like that. Thats incredible.

  6. must be reliving his good old days. odd he'd still have mail. the old postal clerk in me must ask - what's the postmark? It's not unheard of for mail to take years for delivery. ;p
