Heath Bell spent his first 3 seasons with the Mets but didn't really accomplish much with them. In 2006 he was traded to the Padres and spent the next 5 seasons recording 27 wins, 19 losses, 134 saves and an ERA of 2.52. He also was voted an NL All-Star 3 times, twice won the Rolaids Relief Award, and was the NL saves leader in 2009. Bell signed with the Florida Marlins for the 2012 season.
Heath Bell chose to print Psalm 62:8 on the back of his testimonial card:

pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge."
