Three Tickets To The Game!

Three tickets to three different games in three consecutive years in the 70's actually.

These stubs were not in the family, so I can't say for sure if I was at any of these games.

Let's see what I might have missed.

Wednesday evening June 24, 1970 vs. Chicago White Sox.
This is the second game of a double-header and after winning the first game 3-1 the Angels took this one as well by winning 2-1.
Mel Queen pitched a 2-hitter through 6 and Eddie Fisher finished up the last 3 for the save. The Angels 7 hits were all singles. The go-ahead and winning run was scored in the Angels 5th when Alex Johnson forced Jim
Fregosi at second, Jim Tatum scampering home from third. Not the most exciting game.

Looks like this stub was pasted in someones scrapbook at one time. I'm not sure what the COUNTED stamp was used for, the ticket was torn already. Ah, wait. Maybe due to the double-header I bet.

Monday evening June 28, 1971 vs. the Kansas City Royals.
Royals Ace Paul Splittorff threw a 9 inning shutout while striking out 5 and getting the 3-0 win. The Angels had 7 hits but stranded 5 runners. Mickey Rivers stole second and Ken McMullen was caught stealing on a strike'em out-throw'em out. Archie Reynolds took the loss giving up all 3 runs in 6 innings.

Nice clean back on this one.

Wednesday evening August 30, 1972 vs. the Detroit Tigers.
The Angels beat the Tigers 4-1 behind a complete game by Andy Messersmith who struck out 9. Vada Pinson had 2 RBI in the game off 2 singles, and also hit a double.

Appears this ticket was in one of those old magic photo albums as noted by the striping and paper loss on the back.
