A New Record For Being Overlooked

Okay, for years, well, since 1989 exactly, I've looked at this card with no second thought or consideration for anything other than it being completely irrelevant to my collection:
Detroit Tigers Leaders card.
I see Mike Heath, he's the catcher obviously.
Don't know who the other two are, don't really care.

Back of the card mentions Alan Trammell's name a lot.
Okay, so the guy on the left of the photo must be Alan Trammell.
Mike Henneman is at the top of the list for pitching.
Okay he's the pitcher on the right of the photo.
Mystery solved, big deal.

Only it's not Mike Henneman.
I just found out it's Frank Tanana.
Angel Great Frank Tanana.
I have a Frank Tanana PC for all those Frank Tanana non-Angels cards.

Twenty-eight years of being overlooked I can now add this card to the Frank Tanana PC.
Worth the wait.

  1. Congratulations on the stellar detective work! Seeing Trammell's flip glasses sure brings back memories.
