Bible Card Sunday - Bill Butler

Bill Butler had a nice 7 year career in the Majors playing for the Royals, Indians, and Twins.  In his rookie season of 1969 he led the Royals staff in shutouts (4) and strikeouts (156).
His hat is airbrushed out because he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals from the Detroit Tigers as the 22nd pick in the 1968 expansion draft.

Bill Butler signed and included this tract with the 1970 Topps card.

And for good measure he stamped the back of the envelope with Psalm 118:1
" Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever."

  1. Well that's different.

That airbrushing job is very upsetting to look at.....
