A First For Me On TCDB

I originally signed up on TCDB in 2014, but never did anything with it. Recently though I've begun logging my collection, figuring it will take this year to do it. As I'm entering cards, I'm seeing some don't have any image associated with it. Recently I added my first image to the database:

No big deal I know, I just thought it was kinda cool. You can see my username calangels as the user that submitted the images. Kinda nice to get the credit. And I should also give credit again to POISON75 for giving me the card. I hope to be able to add a lot of missing images as I go.

I also moved from Rookie to Benchwarmer. I guess that's an indication of progress.

  1. Nice! I just sent you a friend request (FreehanSolo). I'm looking forward to seeing how your Angels collection stacks up when you get it all added.

  2. I started adding some images like a year or two ago and then my scanner quit.

  3. I don’t understand why they can’t accept phone photos. If I could just snap a pic on my phone instead of scanning it, finding it on my laptop, editing it, and finally submitting it, I would add photos of any card I had that was missing from the site.
I’m in the process of adding my cards too. I’ll send you an add next time I’m on (Karensjer) is my username.

  6. I signed up on TCDB in 2016, but don't really use it outside for tracking my Steve Largent PC. One of these days I'd like to get other player collections added. Just not really sure when that will happen.

  7. This morning I accepted the Friend request you sent, thanks so much. I joined became a TCDb member almost five years ago and have been sporadically adding images ever since. And three day ago I paid $10 to TCDb for a one-year sponsorship of the LA Dodgers TCDb team page. Now I'm curious to see if the other TCDb MLB team pages also have a sponsor.

  8. I invested in a cool scanner that I can feed cards through and they pop right up with minimal editing. Trouble is, I may have already run out of cards I have that need images....

  9. Fun fact, having the name and date show up under the image was my idea, at two separate times, both nearly ten years ago now. So, you're welcome 😁
